NSM Music Inc. announced today that beginning immediately all NSM Digital Downloading Jukeboxes will come standard with MEI bill validators. Previously, NSM had been using a bill acceptor from another manufacturer on its digital jukebox models, but service costs had driven the company to look at other options. After many discussions with its customers, it became apparent that using an inferior bill acceptor had actually cost the company several large sales.
“We had several multi-unit bar owners who each purchased one of our digital downloading jukebox models”, explained Bob Cooney, Senior Vice President of NSM Music in the US. “When I personally followed up with them to see why they had not purchased additional units, I was told flatly that the inferior bill acceptors we were using were causing them too many service issues in their bars.”
NSM contacted Chris Felix, National Amusement OEM Manager for MEI, and asked for a solution. “MEI had a product that was directly plug and play compatible with NSM’s jukeboxes.
