Occupy Margaritas for the 5 Days of Cinco

Margaritas Mexican Restaurant knows their Cinco de Mayo celebration can’t be contained to just one day, so from May 1 through May 5, 2012, they want fans to ‘Occupy Margaritas’ for five fun-filled days of celebration.

The festivities will kick off in the spirit of giving on Tuesday, May 1 with Noche Mexicana fundraisers benefitting local schools and charities at 13 Margaritas locations around the Northeast. During these events, 15 percent of participating guests’ food and beverage purchases will go directly to non-profit organizations like American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Susan G. Komen 3 Day, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Participating locations include: Augusta and Auburn (Maine); Concord, Dover, Exeter, Keene, Lebanon, Manchester, and Portsmouth (N.H.); Framingham, Medford, and Weymouth (Mass.); and Livingston (N.J.).

“Margaritas’ mission has always been to support local schools and charities through fundraising efforts at our restaurants,” said Founder John Pelletier. “It is important to us that we dedicate a day during our year’s biggest celebration to give back to our communities. We have planned exciting events throughout the week, giving our guests plenty of reasons to come by and Occupy Margaritas.”

On Wednesday, May 2, all 23 locations will celebrate Noche de Familia, a family fun night with kid-friendly activities and giveaways. On Thursday, May 3, every restaurant will host a Cinco-themed Full Moon Margarita Madness, a monthly party benefitting local charities. There will be games and prizes throughout the night, including a chance to win Red Sox tickets. Friday, May 4, is Quatro de Mayo, a night of fun to kick off the big weekend featuring an after-work celebration and a special midnight toast to ring in Cinco de Mayo.

The festivities culminate in style on Saturday, May 5 with Margaritas 25th annual Cinco de Mayo party – the biggest, craziest celebration of the year. All locations will be open for lunch and the party will be going on late into the evening. Margaritas is the only place to be on Cinco. Occupy Margaritas!
