The Craft Beer Authority Debuts Pizza Crust Spiked with Brown Ale in Time for National Pizza Month
Just in time for National Pizza Month, Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom has rolled out a new Ale Crust, a soft and lightly sweetened handcrafted pizza crust spiked with brown ale and topped with zesty pizza sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan and Romano cheeses, Italian seasonings and fresh toppings. The traditional casual dining restaurant, known for its delicious, handmade pizza and craft beers, also has unveiled other new menu items available at the more than 100 Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom locations throughout the country.
“We’re excited to introduce our new Ale Crust during National Pizza Month. Guests will love the subtly sweet brown ale flavored crust combined with traditional, fresh pizza toppings,” said Mike Mrlik, President of Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom. “We also have added to our menu several other delicious starters, Tavern Bites, sandwiches and desserts that will appeal to guests everywhere.”
Old Chicago has expanded its menu selection to include a number of tasty new items:
Boneless Chicken Wings – Breaded, all-white meat with a choice of sauces and dry-rubs, including the new Screaming Mango sauce with sweet mango spiked with habañero and fresh jalapeño, and the Sweet & Smoky Bacon with minced bacon, onions, garlic and crushed red peppers in a sweet and savory sauce.
Sausage & Beer Onion Rolls – Italian sausage and caramelized onions that have been simmered in craft beer, then mixed with pepper jack & mozzarella cheeses, baked inside our signature dough. Parsley garnished and served with pizza sauce.
Cheese Curds – Bite sized, battered white cheddar cheese curds, flash fried, seasoned and served with a side of jalapeño ranch dressing.
Parmesan Garlic Fries – Tossed with Italian garlic seasonings and drizzled with our creamy garlic sauce.
Cod Po’ Boy – Samuel Adams beer-battered cod filets dusted with blackening spice. Topped with coleslaw and served with lettuce, tomato, pickles and Cajun mayo on a toasted French roll.
Warm Cinnamon Crunch Rolls – Fresh, warm cinnamon rolls topped with a caramel sauce, cream cheese frosting and cinnamon crunch topping.
