Health-centric salad bar concept set for Sept. 29 grand opening
Salata – the Next Generation Salad Bar – will open its first Pasadena restaurant Friday, Sept. 29. It will be the third location in the Bay Area – with a fourth coming in 2018 to League City – and the 37th Salata in the greater Houston area.
Located at 4531 E. Sam Houston Parkway S, the new restaurant is conveniently located less than four miles from the Pasadena Convention Center, Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base and Bayshore Medical Center. The new restaurant marks the 62nd Salata in Texas and the 70th nationwide.
Salata will kickoff its grand-opening day with a ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and other local dignitaries at 10:30 a.m. Doors will open to the public at 11 a.m. and the first 50 dine-in guests will enjoy their meal for free. In addition, kids eat free all day.
Other celebrations include spin wheel prizes, a drawing in which one lucky guest will receive free Salata for an entire year and evening activities such as free face painting and an on-site balloon artist from 4-7 p.m.
“We are very excited to welcome the community of Pasadena to our beautiful new restaurant,” said District Manager David Echevarria. “We believe our focus on healthy, delicious and nutritious meals will be welcomed by our friends and neighbors across the area, and we can’t wait to introduce them to our Next Generation Salad Bar concept.”
On grand-opening day, a portion of the new restaurant’s sales will be donated to the Pasadena ISD Education Foundation. And in November, Pasadena residents can expect to see Salata at the annual Taste of the Town event, marking the first “healthy” restaurant concept to participate.
Salata is the only salad concept that is gluten-free certified and completely customizable, serving salads and salad wraps made from a wide selection of fresh, nutrient-rich ingredients. The vegetables and fruits are chopped daily and the protein selection is fresh and lean. All of the dressings, soups and sauces are house-made and gluten-free. More than 50 fresh toppings and 10 house-made dressings are always available to create your perfect salad or salad wrap.
Pasadena’s first Salata will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, please visit salata.com.
