Latin-inspired burger concept to host grand opening celebration Dec. 8 with $5 Pincho Burgers all day at new Memorial City restaurant
After a triumphant debut at its first Texas location in nearby Cypress, renowned Miami-based burger and kebab concept PINCHO is bringing its distinctive flavors to a second Houston-area location.
The award-winning brand, which serves up Latin-inspired American classics, will open its doors on Friday, Dec. 8 at 10201 Katy Freeway, Suite 200, next to Memorial Hermann Hospital and near Memorial City Mall. The grand opening will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:45 a.m. To celebrate the new digs, the first 100 people in line will receive the brand’s signature Pincho Burger for FREE. After the first 100, the Pincho Burger will cost just $5 all day long.
The Memorial City PINCHO is the brand’s 12th location overall, with the original 10 located in Miami. The restaurant’s hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
“The PINCHO team is thrilled to further expand our brand into Texas,” said co-founder Otto Othman. “We’ve had a great reception at our Cypress location, as guests have really responded to our vibrant South Florida dining experience – and we’re sure that Miami’s favorite burger will catch on with the Memorial Houston community as well!”
PINCHO is proud to be investing in the Houston community with give-back campaigns and local vendors. For its buns, it will partner with the well-known Houston bakery Bread Man Baking Co. to power up its award-winning burgers. Additionally, PINCHO will donate 100% of its profits on opening day to Houston Children’s Charity and will offer a 25% discount for first responders all year round.
Famous for its mouthwatering burgers, kebabs (aka pinchos), fried cheese and bowls, PINCHO quickly went from an insiders’ secret obsession to a popular local hot spot. It won the hearts and tastebuds of families, foodies and industry pros – and has won accolades every year of its 13-year history. It was honored as the first Miami brand to ever win Burger Bash at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival, competing against brands all over the country. It’s also a five-time winner of Burgerliscious.

PINCHO is something uniquely Miami and — like the city of its birth — beautifully international. Founded by Otto Othman, Nedal Ahmad and Nizar Ahmad in 2010, PINCHO was inspired by Otto’s mother’s famous kebabs (aka pinchos) and a Latin take on the classic American burger. Serving a gorgeous feast of fast, flavorful fusion, PINCHO quickly expanded to 10 popular locations throughout Florida. The beloved brand has attracted families and foodies alike from all over the U.S. After an investment from Savory Fund in 2021, PINCHO is now expanding to new horizons across the country – starting with Houston, Texas in 2023.
