Planet Smoothie, which serves real fruit smoothies with low calorie, low sugar and high protein options, has launched “Lemonade Days of Summer.” The promotion will feature three new lemonade smoothies from June 11 through Aug. 5
The “Pucker” is made with lemonade, raspberries and orange sherbet. The “Squeeze” is a classic lemonade smoothie, and the “Crunch” is made with creamy yogurt and crunchy granola and tastes like frozen lemon pie. Planet Smoothie will also highlight its existing “Lunar Lemonade” smoothie—which is made of lemonade, bananas and a choice of strawberries or raspberries—in July.
“Lemonade is a classic summer treat that kids and adults both enjoy,” said Donna Smith, vice president of marketing. “Our fun new lemonade smoothies are perfect for summer. We think they will be a great treat for customers looking for a unique snack or meal replacement.”
Atlanta, Ga.-based Planet Smoothie offers customers a quick, portable snack or meal replacement with their real fruit smoothies. The menu is organized into lifestyle categories like protein, weight loss, energy, wellness and cool blended. Planet Smoothie has more than 100 units in operation, mainly in Georgia and Florida. The brand was acquired last year by Franklin, Tenn.-based Tasti D-Lite, the great-tasting, lower-calorie frozen dessert chain with a fanatical following among health-conscious consumers as well as celebrities. Now that Tasti D-Lite is the official franchisor of Planet Smoothie, the collaboration will offer dual brands, with Tasti products being added to selected Planet Smoothie stores, and Planet Smoothie’s offerings to join the menus at some Tasti D-Lite locations.
