Participating Restaurants Will Also Raise Funds for Wounded Warrior Family Support Throughout November
Building on a legacy of support for America’s military and their families, participating Ponderosa Steakhouse and Bonanza Steakhouse restaurants across the country will offer free meals to all active and retired military on Veterans Day, Wed., Nov. 11, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. to close. The participating restaurants will also donate a portion of proceeds for every Pepsi® beverage sold during November to the Wounded Warrior Family Support, which supports the families of those who have been injured, wounded or killed during combat operations.

Our country’s military, America’s heroes, have held a special place in the hearts of our franchisees, operators and employees since the beginning, and we are proud to be able to continue to show our appreciation in this way.”
During the past 50-plus years, the Ponderosa and Bonanza Steakhouse brands have become an American dining tradition, the place for great steak, an abundant buffet and friendly service. For more than five decades, the restaurants have actively supported their individual communities, including multitudes of schools, youth sports team, senior programs, health-related charities and more.
In 2014, Ponderosa Steakhouse embarked on a revitalization program, with expanded offerings on the food bar and across the entire entrée line-up. The new menu meets the needs of guests who crave longtime favorites and who also want to explore more relevant offerings including healthier options. Interiors also received enhancements, brightened with a new color scheme, lighting, graphics, menu boards and food bar design.
In 2014, Homestyle Dining announced a new era for Bonanza Steakhouse, now to be re-introduced as a modern, full-service concept called Bonanza Steak & BBQ. The first location will open in Eureka, Mo., in late fall and will celebrate Bonanza’s rich, American steakhouse heritage with an updated menu featuring a full line of steaks grilled to perfection, that will include authentic, Southern-style BBQ offerings. The new concept will incorporate an interior redesign with more modern elements built around a butcher house theme.
