Quaker Steak & Lube On Track To Open 11 Restaurants This Year; Inks Deal With 6 New Markets With Five Franchise Groups

The Award-Winning casual-dining franchise Quaker Steak & Lube, known for its Best Wings USA and more than 20 sauces, announced today it has opened its 50threstaurant in Lakewood, Ohio and is on track to open 10 additional restaurants this year.  The brand will also be expanding to six new markets with five franchise groups over the next several years.

“Over the past six months, we signed agreements to develop 11 new restaurants around the country, including three corporate locations in Texas,” said John Longstreet, president and chief executive officer, Quaker Steak & Lube®. “We’re extremely excited to expand our footprint to both new and existing markets, and introduce more guests to our unique motorsports-themed dining experience.  This growth, and the opening of our 50th restaurant, is a testament to our dedicated franchisees and our top tier management team who are committed to the brand’s success.”

Most recently, a multi-unit franchise agreement was signed with Blue Sky Development, LLC to develop three franchised restaurants in Fargo, North Dakota, and Rapid City and Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  The company also announced plans to develop one new franchised restaurant in Waco, TX this fall, three corporate-owned locations in Dallas-Ft. Worth by 2014, and an area development agreement for three new franchised restaurants throughout Philadelphia over the next several years.  Additionally, restaurants are planned to open later this year in New Jersey, Kentucky, South Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

Quaker Steak & Lube has quickly become one of the fastest-growing restaurant chains in the country and experienced significant growth in 2011, opening six new restaurants, and signing franchise agreements to develop more than 50 locations in the U.S. over the next several years.  Quaker Steak & Lube currently has 50 locations open across 15 states and Canada.
