Quaker Steak & Lube partners with Wounded Warriors Family Support for High Five Tour 2017The award-winning, family casual-dining restaurant Quaker Steak & Lube, is combining forces with Wounded Warriors Family Support in the organization’s mission of improving the quality of lives for the families of combat wounded service men and women. The Wounded Warriors Family Support (WWFS) High Five Tour will take a Ford F-250 Super Duty on the road from Louisville to Detroit, stopping at nine Quaker Steak & Lube restaurants along the way.

Now in its eighth year, the High Five Tour is an iconic road trip whereby WWFS thanks Americans for their appreciation and support of our nation’s military families and the sacrifices these families make when America goes to war. Those wishing to show their support are invited and encouraged to attend one of the Quaker Steak & Lube tour stops, make a donation, and sign the F-250 tour vehicle with a message of support to our country’s veterans and their families.

“We’re happy to partner with the WWFS on the High Five Tour again this year,” said John Ponczoch, Senior Vice President of TravelCenters of America’s TA Restaurant Group, which owns and franchises Quaker Steak & Lube. “We participated on a smaller scale in the tour last year with three Quaker Steak & Lube locations. We’re happy to increase our support this year with nine restaurant stops. The work that WWFS does for veteran families is both admirable and impressive – it’s an honor to have the opportunity to help them raise awareness and donations,” he continued.

“The High Five Tour is a road trip where we thank Americans for their appreciation and support of our nation’s military families for the sacrifices they make when America goes to war,” said Col. John Folsom, USMCR (Ret.), founder and president of Wounded Warriors Family Support. “Every donation, large or small, is deeply appreciated and helps us meet our goal of making these programs a reality for the many deserving veterans and their families.”
