More than 100 Cane’s restaurants across country will raise funds for charity Oct. 17
The Kraddick Foundation announced today that Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers will be its first, and only, national collection point for donations to Kidd’s Kids, the charitable initiative founded by nationally syndicated radio and television personality Kidd Kraddick.
More than 100 participating Raising Cane’s restaurants nationwide will be collecting donations from customers on Kidd’s Kids Day, Wednesday, October 17th. In addition, participating restaurants will donate 15 percent of net proceeds from the day’s sales to the foundation.
“We are proud to be the first national partner collecting donations for Kidd’s Kids,” said Todd Graves, founder and CEO of Raising Cane’s. “We’re excited to offer our customers the opportunity to support this great cause.”
Kidd’s Kids, a program of the Kraddick Foundation, was established in 1991 with the hope of making a difference in the lives of terminally and chronically ill children. Each year, Kidd’s Kids offers five amazing days of suspended reality to children whose lives have been ravaged by disease, with an all-expenses paid dream vacation to Disney World for the kids and their immediate family.
On October 17th, Raising Cane’s customers will have the opportunity to make a donation to Kidd’s Kids in increments of $1, $5 and $10. These donations will be added to 15% of net proceeds from sales made on Kidd’s Kids Day at more than 100 participating Cane’s restaurants.
“What Todd and his incredible crew at Raising Cane’s are doing to support us is simply amazing,” said Kidd Kraddick, host of the most-listened-to contemporary morning show in America. “I’m blown away by their generosity. And the really cool thing is, they’re planning even more for Kidd’s Kids that we haven’t yet announced.”
“I’ve been a big fan of the show for a long time and I’ve always admired the great work Kidd’s Kids does,” said Graves. “We hope that every Caniac will come in on October 17th, enjoy our ONE LOVE, and help send chronically ill children and their families on a much-needed escape to Disney World.”
Kidd’s Kids Day is the second major initiative Raising Cane’s has undertaken for the charity. On June 6th, the rapidly expanding chicken fingers chain hosted Kidd’s Kids Dine-in Day, during which every child involved with the charity nationwide was invited to eat free at their nearest Cane’s all day, along with the rest of his or her immediate family.
The same day, Graves presented the company’s first check to the Kraddick Foundation in the amount of $10,000.
In addition, during its national operators conference in July, Cane’s crewmembers stuffed more than 1,000 “glam bags” that were then distributed to chronically ill girls in 21 hospitals across Texas and Louisiana as part of the Kraddick Foundation’s Glamour Squad initiative.
The Kraddick Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by nationally syndicated morning show personality Kidd Kraddick.
