Reimagined Nashville Favorite Bread & Company to Reopen at West End with New Menu, Interior DesignNashville favorite Bread & Company – located at 2525 West End Avenue – temporarily closed on December 24 to undergo an extensive renovation and reimagination. The restaurant, which has been open since January 2002, will reopen on Monday, January 11, and will introduce a new menu that features Bread & Company favorites along with an all-day full breakfast menu, fresh juices and an expanded tea and specialty coffee program.

Bread & Company’s latest interior design combines natural, farm-fresh elements with a classic Nashville vibe in an inviting dining space that promotes communal congregation with a couch seating area as well as relaxed reclaimed wood tables and booths, nearly doubling its number of available seats. As a result of extensive consumer research, the restaurant is also implementing a streamlined ordering process, ample accessible power outlets and free Wi-Fi to ensure customers enjoy a relaxing experience at the remodeled Bread & Company.

The restaurant’s updated menu will feature traditional Bread & Company favorites like its famous Fruit Tea, Strawberry Fields Salad, Iroquois Chicken Salad Sandwich and housemade fresh, hot soups while introducing new, specialty dishes such as Avocado Toast, Quinoa Power Bowls, Brioche French Toast and a BLT Eggs Benedict. The restaurant will offer healthy, flavorful favorites like house-made granola, organic greens, house-roasted vegetables, cage-free eggs and 100% fresh-squeezed orange juice as well as more indulgent, traditional breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings.

“We wanted to develop an extensive, fresh menu and streamline the ordering process, but even more than that, we wanted to create a memorable experience for everyone who walks through our doors,” said Chris Tomasso, president of First Watch, which acquired Bread & Company in late 2014. “We want our guests to continue to think of Bread & Company as a place to eat, relax, meet or study while enjoying a fresh breakfast, lunch or dinner.”

Bread & Company’s Green Hills location closed in late 2014 to allow developer Brookside Properties to complete an extensive renovation to the building. That restaurant will reopen in mid- to late-2016 upon completion of the renovation.

Bread & Company was founded in 1992 by Anne Clay as Nashville’s first artisan bakery serving only breads, rolls, pastries and coffee in a space with just 15 seats. In 1995, Clay’s son John III joined the company and helped evolve the brand to include salads, soups and sandwiches on the menu. Bread & Company built a loyal following and became well-known for its award-winning baked goods and signature Fruit Tea as well as its fresh soups, salads and sandwiches.
