New Jersey-based GREAT RESTAURANTS (founded 1992) has increased by 1 unit, from 2 to 3 (50% growth) with the addition of a new concept called Rosalita’s Roadside Cantina.  Other company concepts are Metropolitan Café (1) and Nonna’s Citi Cucina (1).  The restaurants are upscale concepts, serving a variety of Mexican, Italian and American cuisines.  Per person check average is $15-$50+.  The restaurants have full bar service and seating for around 150.  Catering services are available.  All the restaurants are in NJ.

Cincinnati, OH-based GRAETER’S ICE CREAM (founded 1870) has increased by 4 units, from 37 to 41 (11% growth).  This quick serve ice cream shop is open for lunch and dinner hours, with a $4-$12+ per person price range.  Seating is for about 20. Catering options are available.  About half the stores are franchised.  Trading areas are IN, KY, and OH.

Kennesaw, GA-based CHEESEBURGER BOBBY’S (founded 2007) has increased by 2 units, from 7 to 9 (29% growth).  This fast casual burger restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, with a $4-$12+ per person price range.  The restaurants have seating for about 60.  All locations are in GA.

Dallas, TX-based WHICH WICH (founded 2003) has increased by 71 units for the Which Wich concept, from 231 to 302 (31% concept growth) and entered into AL, FL, KY, MI, MN, NE, OH, UT, VA, WI, Mexico, Panama, and the UAE.  The company also operates the 2-unit concept called Burguesa Burger.  Overall company increase was from 233 to 305 (30% company growth).  The restaurants are fast casual, serving sandwiches and burgers.  Average seating is for around 50.  Meal periods are breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a $4-$12+ per person price range.  Catering is available.  All stores are franchised and trade in AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NE, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, and WI.  We last featured this company on 6/4/13 (35% growth).

Athens, GA-based ZAXBY’S (founded 1990) has increased by 45 units, from 587 to 632 (8% growth) and entered into MO and UT.  This fast casual chicken concept is open for lunch and dinner, with a $6-$15+ per person check average.  Units seat about 90 and offer catering, online ordering and drive-thru services.  All locations are franchised and trade in AL, AR, FL, GA, IN, KY, LA, MO, MS, NC, SC, TN, TX, UT, and VA.  We last wrote about this concept on 12/3/13 (4% growth).

LEO’S CONEY ISLAND of Dearborn, MI (founded 1972) has increased by 1 unit, from 51 to 52 (2% growth).  These are family/casual restaurants with seating for around 100.  Beer and wine are served.  Meal periods are breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $4-$12+.  Catering and franchising are offered.  All locations are in MI.  We last wrote about this concept on 9/10/13 (17% growth).
