ROOSTERS of Columbus, OH (founded 1988) has increased by 5 units, from 25 to 30 (20% growth).  These are family/casual American restaurants with full bar and seating for around 150.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $6-$12.  Locations are more than 30% franchised and are in IN, KY, OH and WV.

Dallas, TX-based LA DUNI CAFÉ has increased by 1 unit, from 3 to 4 (33% growth).  This is a family/casual Spanish restaurant concept, open for lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is $8-$20, with full bar service.  Seating is for about 150.  Catering and online ordering are available.  All locations are in TX.

CRUMBS BAKESHOP headquartered in New York, NY (founded 2003) has increased by 13 units, from 51 to 64 (25% growth) and expanded into DE, MD and PA.  These are quick serve bakeshops open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Catering and online ordering are offered.  Locations are in CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, PA and VA.

ROSTI TUSCAN KITCHEN of Los Angeles, CA has increased by 1 unit, from 2 to 3 (50% growth).  These are family/casual Italian restaurants with seating for around 200.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $10-$30.  Catering is offered.  All locations are in CA.

Massachusetts-based MET RESTAURANT GROUP (founded 2005) has increased by 1 unit, from 4 to 5 (25% growth) with the addition of a new concept called Met On Main.  Other concepts include Met Back Bay (1), Met Bar & Grill (2), and Metropolitan Club (1).  The concepts are upscale, serving American cuisine.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner, with a $15-$50+ per person check average.  The restaurants have full bar and seating for about 200.  Catering and banquet services are available.  All locations are in MA.

Richmond, BC-based KEG STEAKHOUSE & BAR (founded 1971) has increased by 4 units, from 102 to 106 (4% growth).  This family/casual steakhouse concept is open for lunch and dinner, with a $10-$30 per person check average.  The restaurants have full bar and seating for around 250.  About 50% of the locations are franchised.  Trading areas are AB, AZ, BC, CO, MB, NB, NL, NS, ON, PQ, SK, TX, and WA.

Fort Lauderdale, FL-based THE RESTAURANT PEOPLE (founded 1999) has increased by 1 unit, from 3 to 4 (33% growth) with the addition of a new concept called Vibe Las Olas.  Other concepts are Tarpon Bend (2) and Yolo (1).  The restaurants are family/casual, serving mostly seafood.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner, with a $10-$30 per person check average and full bar.  Seating is for around 200.  Catering and private party services are available.  All the restaurants are in FL.

SAM’S ITALIAN SANDWICH SHOPPE of Lewiston, ME (founded 1939) has increased by 1 unit, from 12 to 13 (8% growth).  These are family/casual restaurants with seating for around 100.  Beer and wine are served.  Meal periods are breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $2-$12.  All locations are in ME.

New York, NY-based ENERGY KITCHEN INC (founded 2003) has increased by 3 units, from 11 to 14 (27% growth).  The restaurants are fast casual, serving American cuisine.  Meal periods are breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a $6-$15+ per person price range.  Units seat about 10 and offer catering, delivery, and online ordering services.  Stores are franchised and trade in DC, FL, NJ, and NY.

Charlotte, NC-based FIREBIRDS WOOD FIRED GRILL (founded 2000) has increased by 4 units, from 19 to 23 (21% growth).  This is a family/casual concept, serving American cuisine.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner, with a $10-$30 per person check average.  The restaurants have full bar and seating for about 200.  Trading areas are AL, AZ, DE, NC, NE, OH, PA, TN, and VA.

New York, NY-based BOBBY FLAY’S RESTAURANTS (founded 1991) has increased by 8 units for the Bobby’s Burger Palace concept, from 5 to 13 (160% concept growth) and entered into DC, MA, and MD.  Other concepts include Bar Americain (2), Bobby Flay’s Steak (1) and Mesa Grill (3).  Overall company increase was from 11 to 19 (73% growth).  The restaurants are mostly upscale, serving multiple cuisine types.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner, with a $15-$50+ per person check average.  Locations have full bar and seat about 200.  The restaurants are located in CT, DC, MA, MD, NJ, NV, NY, PA, and the Bahamas.

Beaverton, OR-based URBAN RESTAURANTS has increased by 1 unit, from 4 to 5 (25% growth), adding a new concept called Dog House Saloon.  Other company restaurants are Bartini (1), Brix Tavern (1), Urban Fondue (1), and Urban Studio (1).  These concepts are upscale, serving multiple cuisine types.  Per person check average is $15-$50+, offering full bar and seating for about 150.  The restaurants have banquet rooms available.  All locations are in OR.  We featured this company on 10/18/11 (33% growth).

BUSH’S CHICKEN based in Robinson, TX has increased by 3 units, from 46 to 49 (7% growth).  These are quick serve restaurants with seating for around 30.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $2-$6.  Catering and drive thru are available.  Locations are more than 70% franchised and are in TX.  We last reported on this concept on 2/7/12 when they had 12% growth.

Miami Beach, FL-based PIOLA (founded 1986) has increased by 2 units, from 32 to 34 (6% growth) and entered into Ecuador and Colombia.  This family/casual Italian/pizza concept is open for lunch and dinner, with an $8-$20 per person price range.  Locations have full bar and seat about 100.  Private party services are available.  Trading areas are FL, GA, NC, ON, TX, VA, and 8 other countries worldwide.  We last wrote about this concept on 12/13/11 (10% growth).

DIBELLA’S SUBS based in Pittsford, NY (founded 1918) has increased by 6 units, from 30 to 36 (20% growth).  These are fast casual sandwich restaurants with seating for around 30.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $4-$10.  Catering is offered.  Locations are in CT, IN, MI, NY, OH and PA.  We wrote about this concept on 5/15/12 (15% growth).
