Bellevue, WA – Duke’s Chowder House
Father and son entrepreneurs Duke and John Moscrip will open the seventh in their chain of local favorite seafood dining concept at 110 Bellevue Way NE by mid-to-late April, 2017. The restaurant will occupy 6,200 sq. ft. and seat up to 210 guests. The menu will offer the same quality seafood guests enjoy now.
Madison, WI – Sal & Mookie’s New York Pizza and Ice Cream Shop
Developers David and Tommy Landrum have signed a licensing agreement with Mangia Bene Restaurant Group to open this family-friendly casual dining unit by the fourth quarter of 2017 at 752 E. Gorham St. The menu includes their 18 inch pizzas, Panini’s, salads, pasta, sandwiches and appetizers.
Huntsville, AL – Keegan’s Public House
General Manager Britt Crossley will have her hands full with an aggressive plan to open this Irish-theme casual dining operation in time for St. Patrick’s Day at 200 Westside Square. Guests will find traditional pub fare such as bangers and mash, Irish whiskey’s, beers and local craft beers with seating for 200.
Rapid City, SD – Sickie’s Garage
This new casual-fare eatery has the advantage of opening in a location that was a former restaurant to meet their scheduled opening date of February 20 at 3313 E. Mall Drive. General Manager Chad Jaqow say’s diners will find a combination of 50 “over the top” burgers and 50 local craft beers on tap.
Charlotte, NC – Loft & Cellar
Aficionados of “throw-back eras” will welcome this prohibition-style concept when it opens in April in the Park Road Shopping Plaza. The theme will mix Louisiana style blues and jazz, a full service bar and a menu offering tapas and an Argentine style steakhouse menu. A chef’s tasting table will be available.
Kansas City, MO – Black Dirt
James Beard Award nominee Chef Jonathan Justus has had this project on the books for two years and is closing in on a late summer opening at 5070 Main Street. He says the menu (while still under development) will be more “approachable” than his Justus Drugstore restaurant located in Smithville.
