Whole Foods is betting you want Brazilian cuisine as they plan to open this fast-casual churrasco eatery at 650 Ponce de Leon Avenue sometime in May. Guests will select their roast protein of choice and top it bowl fashion with a variety of vegetables and sauces. A full bar and a DJ will provide some atmosphere.
Garden City, ID – Trattoria Vincenzo
Italian-born Chef Vincenzo Nicoletti will open this casual eatery in late March at 6970 W. State Street. He will prepare fresh pasta daily on premise from which he’ll offer traditional entrees from fettucine to pappardelle. Also offered are a folded pizza “panuzzo” and a racket-shaped pizza with a stuffed handle.
Denver, CO – El Five
Multiple concept entrepreneur Justin Cucci will bring another unique dining concept his eager audience when this Latin upscale concept opens at 2930 Umatilla Street by late March. The menu will feature an abundance of Mediterranean style Tapas along with a full bar and panoramic views of the city.
La Grande, OR – Side A Brewing
Partners Nicolas Fairbanks, Scott McConnell and Travis Hansen will bring their collective talents of brewing, food and beverage management to 1219 Washington Avenue for an April-May opening. The food menu is under development but will use a gastro-pub format to complement their Pilsner beers.
Chicago, IL – Mi Tocaya Antojeria
Fresh from a successful run at Cantina 1910 Chef Diana Davila will open this casual concept by April located at 2800 W. Logan Blvd. The menu will reflect the love of her heritage offering a menu of “antojos” or small plates to be complimented by her house-made sangria, beer and wine all on tap.
Baltimore, MD – Minnow
If you stay for three hours you’ll find enough to keep you occupied at this casual concept by brothers Ben and Jake Lefenfeld as they expand their restaurant empire with a May opening at 2 E. Wells Street. The menu will feature seafood locally sourced with a variety of small plates and entrees under development.
