Santa Ana diners will soon have their answer to Filipino cuisine when this former “pop up” operator goes brick and mortar at 40 N. Broadway with a projected late spring opening.  Owner Ryan Garlitos states the cuisine will feature locally sourced products especially California produce fused with traditional Filipino cooking techniques.

Naples, FL – Mitchell’s Cookie Cafe
Already supplying cookies for seven local restaurants owner William Mitchell and wife Lynn will open their first food service outlet at 7785 Davis Blvd. in early March.  Beyond the chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin they will feature family recipes that include maple walnut bacon and raspberry double-stuffed chocolate.

Chicago, IL – Le Solazo
The Family owned unit will feature authentic Mexican flavors and cuisine once the rehabbed building is complete for their buildout at 740 W. Randolph St. with a projected opening of late spring or summer.  The single unit will occupy one floor and guests will enjoy their rooftop bar and lounge during hospitable weather.

Redmond, WA – Woodblock
This casual eatery will focus on craft cocktails, barrel-aged beverages with fresh, local flavors to create unique adult beverages along with local craft beers.  The menu will continually evolve using local, seasonal products.  Located at 16175 Cleveland St. the owners are planning an opening sometime in March.

Blairstown, NJ – Buck Hill Brewery & Restaurant
With over a thousand face book “likes” and an equal amount of gift certificate sales over the 2015 holiday season local residents are excited about this first restaurant brewery combination here slated to open mid-April at 45 NJ St. Rt. 94.  The brewery will feature beers flavored with NJ-grown hops and two CIA-trained Chefs creating an enticing menu.

Los Alamos, NM – Pasta Paradiso
Owner/Chef Renee Lee is forging ahead on her sixth concept with the casual family atmosphere and scratch cooking of her latest operation to open late April at 1315 Trinity Dr.  Lunch hours will offer a buffet so nearby workers can have a quality meal within their time frame while dinner will target families with a casual feel and children’s menu.
