Manager Marc Alderucci and Chef Willis Stepp will combine their efforts to open this casual sports theme eatery by the end of March at 33 Wilbur Cross Way. The menu items will be locally sourced, guests can expect a variety of skewered meats and roasted vegetables. A full bar and party rooms will be available.
Birmingham, AL – Little Donkey
Locally based, Fresh Hospitality Restaurant Group has found their new growth concept in this casual Latin-theme operation opening its’ second unit this summer at 5361 US 280. The menu continues to offer their scratch-made burritos, tacos and bowls along with a full bar, domestic and Mexican beers.
Covington, KY – Bourbon House 1841
Owner/Operator Dave Brumfield is looking to an April opening of this “bourbon centric” bar and entertainment operation located at 522 Main Street. The renovation of this 175 year-old building is revealing much of its character. Expect a variety of tasting flights from their 150 different bourbons.
Cary, NC – La Farm Bakery
Master Baker Lionel Vatinet is moving his production bakery so he may also open a Café expected to open by year’s end at 220 W. Chatham Street. This “James Beard Foundation” Master Baker Semi-Finalist wanted to take the time to expand at a pace that wouldn’t jeopardize their product quality.
Austin, TX – Veracruz All Natural
The natural progression of operating a food truck is to eventually open a brick-and-mortar location and that will happen in late May at 9003 Waterford Centre Blvd. Owners Maritza and Reyna Vasquez will continue and expand their menu of fresh salsas, savory quesadillas and house-made tortillas.
Camarillo, CA – Julian’s Restaurant & Bar
Brothers Julio and Perez like to keep busy and if operating two full-service restaurants isn’t enough they’ll open a new casual concept at 2433 Ventura Blvd. sometime in early April. To assist with the heavy lifting a partner will assist them with their menu of “affordably-priced” gourmet steaks and pasta entrees.
