Pompano Beach, FL – Bangin’ Banjo
Co-owner Adam Feingold says approval for the brewery is pending but it will only be a matter of time before they are opening. They are optimistically shooting for an April opening but realistically it could be open as late as summer.

Detroit, MI – Triple Nickle
This restaurant on South Old Woodward will seat about 180 on two levels. Feature entrees will be steaks, chops and a lot of great seafood. Prices will be weeknight friendly.

Boston, MA – Hojoko
Tim and Nancy Cushman from O YA will be opening this new venture sometime in Spring/Summer 2015 at the Verb Hotel. The menu will showcase a whole different side of Japanese culture… kind of Tokyo pop with creative maki rolls.

San Diego, CA – Bracero
Beloved Baja chef Javier Plascencia is going big with his next, slightly delayed San Diego restaurant: as in 4,800 square feet big. The massive restaurant will have two floors: the first floor and bar will be more casual and walk-in only, while the second floor will be home to an additional bar and a reservations-only dining room.

Ocena TWP, NJ – Crush and Crab
Much to the excitement of area residents, the long vacant building once home to Boomer’s Restaurant is set to become a crab house. Town officials announced this week the seafood restaurant Crush and Crab was expected to open at 525 South Main Street on June 1. The space just off Route 113 has been one of the town’s key commercial vacancies since Boomer’s closed.

Dallas, TX – Filament
Filament will be a “casual Southern eatery” with “both approachable and unexpected dishes.” According to a press release, the restaurant will have a serious bar program, too, featuring “about 100 bottles of wine, a rotating lineup of craft beers on tap, and an inventive selection of seasonal cocktails” served at a 24-seat horseshoe-shaped bar. Expected opening is May/June 2015.
