Detroit, MI – The Peterboro
Charles Inchaustegui, General manager at the Sugar House will be heading out on his own to open this new restaurant. The project is just now getting underway with the build out in July and hopefully an opening by Fall.
Charleston, SC – Wok Box
The Canadian Based Asian dining chain is expanding into the low country with its first Charleston area ocation. It will be located at the Azalea Square in Summerville. An expected opening day is in July. They plan on opening five other locations in the next few years.
Athens, AL – 306 BBQ
This will be the 2nd location for 306. It will be located in the former Greenbriar Bar-B-Que which was closed by fire in 2013 after a kitchen fire. Their current restaurant is able to seat 160 customers while the new location will be able to seat about 400. They are anticipating on opening July or August 2015.
Dallas, TX – Afrah
Richardson Mediterranean restaurant Afrah will open a second location in Irving, at 3351 Regent Blvd. near 635 and Belt Line. Noted for its shawarma and hummus, Afrah got the Guy Fieri boost when it was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
Washington, DC – BKK Chophouse
The old Beau Thai space (1700 New Jersey Ave NW) in Shaw will soon be re-opening as BKK Cookshop, a new restaurant from Beau Thai owner Aschara Vigsittaboot. The new menu will feature Thai food with a few twists. This new restaurant is hoping for a May 2015 opening.
Springfield, FL – Crispy’s
Johnny Crispens recently purchased the former Akra Brothers department store last year. He plans are to build a restaurant, bar, art gallery and a dry cleaners in the new building. The restaurant will serve pizzas, Panini’s, sandwiches and salads. No date can be found for an opening.
