Pensacola, FL – Jerry’s Bistreaux
Popular Cajun Chef Jerry Mistretta will open his new family friendly casual dining concept mid-to-late summer at 5901 North W Street.  The menu will be Cajun-focused so expect some heat with featured items such as house-made Boudin sausage, Po-boy’s, gumbo and fresh seafood.  A private dining room will be able to host parties of up to 85 guests.

Boston, MA – Pagu
Local culinary veteran Chef Tracy Chang will open her new upscale creation melding Asian and Spanish cuisines at 310 Massachusetts Avenue by summers’ end.  The operation will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with plans for seating just over 170 guests.  The menu will be seafood-focused and all ingredients will be locally sourced.

Chicago, IL – Rojo Gusano
Chef-owner Dudley Nieto probably doesn’t need much sleep opening the second of his popular taco and tequila units within four months of the original late May at 3131 N. Central Avenue.  The second unit will be more intimate seating only 40 guest but the menu will boast a Mezcal-heavy drink selection, bowls, ceviche, empanadas and specialty salsas.

Boulder, CO – River and Woods
Local Chef-Entrepreneur Daniel Asher will open his new “crowd-sourced” menu concept at 2328 Pearl Street sometime in July.  The menu will be interpreted by the culinary staff using local ingredients and “family favorite” recipes submitted by guests which will be themed by origin and season such as river, woods, high-plains or fields.

Tacoma, WA – NYP Bar and Grill
Don’t allow the name to fool you, this will be the sixth location of this regional family-friendly casual dining operation slated to open late June at 2505 S. 38th. Street.  The pizza crust is made with a Scotch ale from a local brewery, bacon, burger meat and chickens also hail from area producers.  The menu is moderately priced and seating will be up to 175.

Phoenix, AZ – The Herb Box
The third of it’s’ type to open in Arizona this farm-to-table casual dining concept will be open by the end of 2016 at 5538 N. Seventh Street.  The 3,100 sq. ft. space will feature a full bar and seating for 140 guests in a rustic farmhouse motif.  The menu include spicy Korean fried cauliflower, buttermilk fried chicken and beef short-rib enchiladas.
