Pittsburg, PA – Amicus
Dan Blumenfeld will be opening his new restaurant in the location of the former Common Plea site which has been closed for 2 years. The menu will feature Italian and French influences and be open for lunch and dinner. Seating capacity is 140. They are hoping to open in July.
Tucson, AZ – An-U
Kwang C An will be opening this Asian restaurant and sports bar in the former Sam Hughes Place by early August. An has been active in the restaurant industry around Tocson area for over 30 years. He will also be opening another Asian restaurant in March of next year.
Atlanta, GA – Bad Dog Taqueria
This will be a new build out in it’s Fourth Ward location, right in the midst of other current hot spots. The building permit has just been filed with the city so no opening time frame has been set.
Waco, TX – Baris
Mary Baris, owner of the popular Baris Italian restaurant on Valley Mills Drive says she is converting the former Tom’s Smokehouse into a Baris Express and the menu will be similar to the other location. The building will have to go through some remodeling but they hope to be in the building by the end of June or July.
Pensacola, FL – Ruby Slipper Cafe
Construction is in progress for another Ruby’s location. The Slipper is a New Orleans based restaurant and will be coming to the Main and Palafox area just south of Al Fresco. Owners are Erich and Jennifer Weishaupt and are hoping to be open by Memorial Day.
San Jose, CA – Taiwan’s Din Tai Fung
This is an Asian based restaurants with more than 113 stores with most of them being in Asia. Currently there are US locations in Los Angeles and the Seattle areas. Seating will be for 200 and is scheduled to be open in San Jose’s Westfield Valley Fair Mall.
