Local restaurant operators Fresh Hospitality Group are partnering with James Beard Award-winning Chef John Currence to open this breakfast and lunch concept. It is the second of what will eventually be four units with an eye toward further expansion. The new unit will be located at 1926 26th. Avenue South with plans to open by mid-to-late August.
Seymour, CT – Stone’s Throw
Veteran restaurateur and Chef Peter Hamme is currently renovating this lake-view property at 337 Roosevelt Drive with plans to open by Memorial Day. The atmosphere will be semi-casual with full service, craft cocktails and American eclectic cuisine with an emphasis on fresh seafood using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.
Atlanta, GA – Superica
Serial, multi-concept entrepreneur Ford Fry will finally duplicate one of his most popular ventures with the opening of the second unit of this upscale-trending Tex-Mex concept by the end of May or beginning of June at 3850 Roswell Road. Menu favorites such as the Superica, a dirty martini-margarita mash-up, and the Bob Armstrong queso are featured.
Lafayette, LA – Zydeco Po’Boy & Daiquiri Company
What the downturn in the oil business’ loss is the uptick for local diners with the late May opening of this casual sandwich, full liquor and entertainment concept at 1042 Camellia Blvd. Open seven days for lunch, happy hour and dinner this venture features a petite menu full of Cajun flavor favorites such as Shrimp Remoulade and Muffulettas.
Scottsdale, AZ – Farm & Craft
Early June will bring the latest “wellness menu” restaurant to town located at 4302 North Scottsdale Road. The concept will operate as a fast-casual unit for lunch and offer full service for dinner hours. The menu will feature organic, gluten free items such as blueberry protein pancakes, hummus protein power salad and flaxseed flatbreads.
Springfield, TN – The Copper Vault
Three years in the making due to extensive renovation and attention to historical detail this fine dining restaurant will have a soft opening early September at 518 S. Main St. All three meal periods will be serviced starting with coffee and fresh baked goods for breakfast to New Orleans-style grilled oysters and hand-cut aged steaks to a full ice cream bar.
