Tampa, FL – 4 Rivers Smoke House
The popular Orlando based barbecue company will open another area location just 4 months after opening a now popular site in Carrollwood. The new site is the home to a farmers stand. The restaurant should hold 90 seats and be open around the October/November period.
Atlanta, GA – 5Church
5Church will replace the now-shuttered Shout, at 1197 Peachtree Street NE, in the Midtown mall. Shout, a Here To Serve restaurant, closed its doors for good Dec. 23, 2014. The forthcoming Atlanta 5Church isn’t the only planned location for the restaurant. MAP will also open a Charleston outpost, at the corner of Market and East Bay Streets, early summer 2015, ahead of the Colony Square store.
Brooklyn, NY – Maison Kayser
French pastry shop and cafe Maison Kayser is planning to colonize Brooklyn with its first outpost in the fair borough. The 4,500-square-foot space next to Borough Hall is slated to open in late September with a coffee bar, bakery section, grab-and-go options, and a 108 seat cafe/restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
San Diego, CA – BIGA
BIGA will differentiate itself from the assembly-line pizzerias currently saturating the market by baking its pies in a two true wood-fired ovens, which will run at 900 degrees and cook the pizzas in 90 seconds. The restaurant will seat 90 and plans are to be open in August or September.
Chestnut Hill, MA – Bon Me
Chestnut Hill Square announced today that it will add a new location of Bon Me in late fall 2015. The Vietnamese-inspired company now has five food trucks and two brick-and-mortar locations (Kendall Square and Fort Point). Plus, another permanent Bon Me is in the works in Cambridge’s Fresh Pond area, located in the former Cheddar’s Pizzeria space. That one is slated to open this summer.
Mason City, IA – Boulder Tap
Boulder Tap House will be replacing the now closed Bonanza Restaurant. Owner Steve Letnes and his brother currently own 25 restaurants in Minnesota. Their current restaurants are primarily sports bars featuring burgers, salads, taco platters, wings with 15 different sauces and a goal of 50 different beers from local breweries. Once remodeling begins they are anticipating opening in the early part of October.
