Boston, MA – Oat Shop
Diners seeking a healthy option for their first meal of the day will have a new address to start their day at 6 Station Street, an opening is planned for this fall, 2016. Owner Al Donovan operates other cafes and breakfast shops in the greater Boston area; however, this is the first in the area that is “oatmeal focused”.
Portland, OR – Nomad.PDX
Executive Chef Ryan Fox and Sous Chef Ali Matteis may need to rename their former “pop-up” concept as they will open permanently this fall at 575 NE 24th. Street. Patrons may enjoy locally-sourced proteins and produce from a “Hi-Tech” kitchen separated from diners, at communal tables, by a glass wall.
Chicago, IL – Steak 48
The winter of 2017 will greet this new operation at 615 N. Wabash Avenue by the team that created Mastro’s Steakhouse. Joined steaks on the menu will be seafood, chicken and veal along with creative salads, fried deviled eggs, avocado and king crab stack and 48 wines by the glass to wash it all down.
Los Angeles, CA – Botanica
While they are seeking a Chef and GM the creators of this concept are moving forward with an opening late fall or early winter 2017 at 1620 Silver Lake Blvd. The menu will feature seafood, whole grains, fruits and vegetables with seating for 58 inside and a 450 sq. ft. patio.
