Minneapolis MN – Petite Leon
James Beard finalist Jorge Guzman, the opening chef for the Surly destination brewery, is set to open a new restaurant in the former Blackbird Cafe space on Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis.The new restaurant, called Petite Leon, is the first project for a new restaurant group that consists of chef and proprietor Ben Rients (Lyn 65, Centro, Popol Vuh), Barman Travis Serbus (most recently of Meteor Bar), chef Dan Manosack (Blackbird, Lyn 65) and Guzman.
San Antonio TX – Delia’s
Delia’s Tamales, a favorite in the Texas Valley, will open with over a dozen tamale varieties in addition to menudo, fresh salsas and plenty of beverage options.
Scottsdale AZ – Francine Restaurant
An incoming fine dining establishment with a Mediterranean and south-of-France menu is hoping to fill approximately 60 positions ahead of its August 14 opening. Francine Restaurant is set to begin dine-in services next month in the luxury wing of Scottsdale Fashion Square.
Philadelphia PA – Nifty Fifty’s
More than a year has passed since diner chain Nifty Fifty’s announced plans to open a new location in South Philadelphia. Despite the uncertainties of the coronavirus pandemic, the restaurant is now hiring and plans to open soon.
