Las Cruces, NM – Dragonfly
An entrepreneur with a lengthy hospitality resume, Tracy Baker, will open this casual farm-to-table eatery at 139 N. Main Street in early September. Up to 90% of produce and 60% of proteins will be locally sourced along with beer and wine. Local artists’ work will adorn both the main and banquet dining rooms.
Chicago, IL – Aloha Poke Co.
If you prefer to eat your raw seafood from a bowl instead of being “rolled up” then restaurateur Zach Freidlander is savior as he opens his Asian-inspired bowl concept at 163 W. North Avenue sometime in early 2018. The menu is being developed but expect fresh seafood served bowl-style with toppings.
Washington, DC – Jrink
The sixth unit of this local “juicery” will open as a free-standing unit at this Capitol Hill mall location at 798 – 750 C Street NE around Labor Day. The menu offers fresh, cold-pressed juices without any sugar, preservatives or further processing. Menu items include names such as “Clean me up” and “Relax me”.
Bellevue, WA – Henry’s Tavern
This popular, casual pub will open their third Seattle area location sometime in September at 700 Bellevue Way NE. Guests will find an extensive offering of beers, ales, ciders, lagers, pilsners and stouts, Oh My! Menu signatures include waffle fries with toppings and hand-stretched malt-flour pizzas.
Gloucester, MA – Italiano Restaurant
Following up their enormous success of the 2007 opening of “Azorean” the Braga Management Group will open their latest version of authentic Italian cuisine in late August at 64 Main Street. Diners can expect menu offerings to include specialty pizza’s and house specialties such as “Linguine Tutto di Mare.”
Hot Springs, AR – Core Brewing Co.
Brewer and restaurant operator Jessie Core sought a location that would “fit our company culture” and that will be at 833 Central Avenue with an anticipated opening date of late October. Unlike their first location in Springdale a food menu will be offered and is currently under development.
