Chef Garret McMahan will helm the kitchen at this fine dining eatery with a neighborhood feel at 1 John Street slated for a fall opening. The menu will feature a Mediterranean to Middle-East theme with a wood fired grill producing whole grilled fish, flatbreads, mezze and dips with seating for around 100 guests.
Omaha, NE – Saddlecreek Breakfast Club
Locals are familiar with the landmarks of the Metcalf-Harrison neighborhood and that new businesses are part of the effort to turn the area around. That trend will continue when this new breakfast-focused concept opens on the roundabout on N. Saddlecreek Road with plans to open sometime in September.
Temple, TX – Bird Creek Burger Co.
Jacob Bates always knew he wanted to open a business where he could serve his community and combine with a passion so it’s a casual burger unit that he’ll open in early October at 4 S. Main Street. The menu will be supported by his partnering with as many local food producers as he can find.
Birmingham, AL – Ashley Mac’s Cafe
Hard work has a habit of leading to success as husband and wife team Andy and Ashley McMakin open their fourth and first downtown unit at 2013 Fifth Avenue North in the late fall. The menu will reflect the same popular items they’re known for such as pimento cheese and chicken salad sandwiches.
Scottsdale, AZ – Famous 48
The creative minds of Square 1 Concepts will open their latest “next big thing” when this casual concept located at 4218 N. Scottsdale Road this coming fall. Guests will find a 3,000 sq. ft. space with full service bar, leather banquettes, wood high-top tables in a casual atmosphere serving modern comfort foods.
Amesbury, MA – Silvaticus Brewery and Taproom
Craft beer aficionados will have one more haunt to occupy them when this brewer and taproom open in September located at 9 Water Street. The four founders will honor the tradition of Belgian farmhouse ales and German lagers. To really push the point of authenticity they’re growing their own hops as well.
