Local celebrity Chef Amos Watts and partner Bryan Dayton will open their latest project eatery at 1023 Walnut Street by mid-December. The pair want to introduce their version of the cuisine of northern Spain to include the Basque country. The menu will focus on steaks, traditional Sherry’s and GinTonics.
Philadelphia, PA – Morrell Park Cafe
The kinetic motion known as Chef Michael Falcone will finally come to rest at 420 Schuylkill Road for a projected late November to early December opening. This casual concept is slated to offer a menu of “farm-to-table” cuisine of seasonal foods through familiar items such as small plates and sandwiches.
Austin, TX – Guild
Executive Chef Sterling Ridings will helm the kitchen of this seafood-centric concept set for an opening in December at 3800 North Lamar Blvd. Plated entrees will be balanced with raw bar offerings such as oysters and ceviche’s. Pastry like “Grandma” made will be provided by Pastry Chef Monica Sullivan.
Kansas City, MO – County Line Ice House
Local barbecue fans will notice the pedigree of his new casual unit as the offspring of ‘Joe’s Kansas City’ with a planned opening of Spring, 2018 at 100 E. 14th. Street. The menu will focus on smoked meats to include Carolina pulled pork sandwiches, burnt-end barbacoa tacos and their jalapeno-cheese sausage.
Barrington, IL – Moretti’s Ristorante & Pizzeria
Growing in popularity and now in number of their units this local Italian cuisine operator will open their fifth Chicagoland area unit sometime in December to be located at 128 Wool Street. Fans of their comfort focused menu will be greeted by traditional favorites such as Chicago-style pan and thin crust pizzas.
Kent, WA – Dick’s Drive In Restaurant
A 63 year-old tradition will continue with the opening of this family-owned and operated quick service icons’ seventh location at WA-509 and S. 242nd. Street sometime in the first quarter of 2018. The “KISS” method of operations has worked well for Dick’s still offering their fresh beef burgers and one size sides.
