What does a Michelin-starred Chef do with Mexican food, he takes it upscale! Chef Chip Barnes will helm the kitchen at this casual atmosphere, upward trending menu concept in early 2017 at 300 SW Stark Street. Look for Pig Ear “Al Pastor” Huarache and Pescado en Hoja de Platano as menu highlights.
Genesee Depot, WI – Vittles & Vine
Chef Kristine Verzi returns to her childhood roots from working on the west coast to bring those influences to this casual, locally sourced operation to open at 31428 Hwy 83 by years end. The menu will feature small plates, soup, salads and sandwiches with a Latin flair along with full liquor bar and of course wine.
Brooklyn, NY – Broccolino
Here’s something different, an Italian restaurant opening in Brooklyn. When you have a better mouse trap the world comes to your door and the owners of this casual eatery will open their second unit at 213 Smith Street late November. The menu will expand to include more meat and seafood entrees.
Wichita, KS – The Kitchen
Chef-owner Natasha Gandi-Rue will open her seasonally focused, farm-to-table operation late November at 725 E. Douglas. The menu will feature a quick-service lunch and table-service dinner with grab and go meals for home. There will be a full service bar and expect to see favorites such as steak and chicken.
Phoenix, AZ – Tacos, Tequila, Whiskey
KTM Restaurant Group’s lead Chef Kevin Morrison leads the opening team at this casual Latin-menu, bar focused concept when it opens early 2017 at E. Indian School Road & N. 40th. Street. Menu offerings include pork belly tacos, slow-roasted beef barbacoa along with small batch tequila and whiskeys.
New Orleans, LA – Neyow’s Creole Cafe
The Dubuclet family will open their new expansion of this local favorite eatery in late November at 3332 Bienville Street. The same menu that’s brought locals back since 2010 will be featured including Creole Gumbo, grilled oysters an expanded full service bar and a new oyster bar centered in the front window.
