Boston, MA – Grafton Group Oyster Bar
The Grafton Group is planning to open an oyster bar restaurant near Harvard Square at 15 Dunster St. The restaurant will tentatively be equipped with projector screens, stay open until 1 a.m. on weekdays, and seat up to 90 people. Grafton Group co-owner Patrick Lee said the restaurant will serve lunch and dinner daily with takeout and slated to open in spring, 2016.
Minneapolis, MN – Brut
When it opens spring 2016, Brut will be the only Minneapolis restaurant to boast two chefs who have both been lauded as Food & Wine magazine’s Best New Chefs: Anderson in 2012, Malone in 2013. The couple’s new venture is at 428 Washington Av. N. where classical French Cookery will be the menu focus.
Richmond, VA – Carolina Ale House
Carolina Ale House will open its’ first Virginia location in early 2016 at 11275 W. Broad Street. The restaurant will feature a casual dining atmosphere with familiar menu items such as wings and burgers. The Raleigh, NC-based company has 26 locations throughout the southeast.
New Orleans, LA – Marcello’s Restaurant and Wine Bar
The Sicilian-focused wine bar will be located at 4860 Veterans Memorial Boulevard and will be a slightly smaller footprint than their two existing properties. Partner, Gene Todaro Jr. said, that the new 6,500-square-foot space will have a large, stand-alone bar, a patio, a private banquet space and ample parking. The opening is planned for January, 2016.
San Francisco, CA – COVO
COVO will be a shared working space helmed by restaurant veterans Matt Semmelhack, Jason Pan, Daniel and Rebecca Brian. The restaurant will feature coffee and small bites during the day and switch to a wine and beer bar hosting different pop-up food operators. The partners anticipate a May 2016 opening.
Phoenix, AZ – Barrio Cafe
Barrio Café Chef-Owner Silvana Eszparza will bring her food-stylings to a second location to Grand Avenue. The menu will feature vegan offerings in the Chef’s traditional Latin style in a casual bistro environment. Chef Esparza hopes to inspire rising Chefs who seek to broaden their culinary reach, the restaurant will open in early 2016.
