Atlanta, GA – Tom Tom Tapas & Tequilas
Local restaurant veteran and Certified Master Chef Tom Catherall will open his casual eatery featuring Latin-inspired upscale food and drinks that provide flavor and value. The new operation will open in time for Valentine’s Day at 1000 Virginia Avenue NE.
Buckeye AZ – The Vic Bar & Kitchen
Executive Chef Robert Douglas will helm the kitchen of this upscale concept that features “farm-to-table” edibles from the restaurant’s garden and local farms. The opening will be in early first quarter 2016 with a menu that offers family-style dinner options, a tribute to classic sandwiches and duck confit pizza.
Austin, TX – Veggie Heaven
A rebirth of this popular restaurant will take place at 1611 West 5th. Street in a 2,000 sq. ft. space that will seat approximately 50 – 55 guests. The menu will be completely vegan, not even any cheese or dairy will appear on the menu. Opening is slated for March 2016 as owner Stacy Chen wanted to carry on after her father, and founder, retired.
Portland, OR – Copine
Chef Shaun McCrain whose resume lists Thomas Keller’s Per Se in Manhattan and Taillevent in Paris, France is slowly leaking information on his new upscale concept in the Ballard District. The restaurant will be located at NW 65th. & 24th. Avenue NW, will feature “refined cuisine” but diners will have to wait for a taste as opening is planned for mid-2016.
Appleton, WI – Dairyland Brew Pub
Husband and wife team Bernie and Dorrie Schmidt will open their brewpub concept at 1216 East Wisconsin Avenue with a plan for 40 taps across a variety of brewing styles. The menu will offer casual food such as build-your-own burgers, broasted chicken and pizza. Due to the permitting and construction process they plan to open by mid-summer.
Baltimore, MD – Voltaggio Brothers Steakhouse
Celebrity Chef Brothers, Bryan and Michael Voltaggio, will bring their unique styles to one menu at their new steakhouse to be located inside the MGM National Harbor. Traditional steakhouse fare will be the order of the day with contributions from both Chefs who see this as a great opportunity to collaborate, opening is slated for the early third quarter of 2016.
