A divorce lawyer and published author has plans to open OY! Restaurant on Cumberland Parkway SE. OY! will serve breakfast, brunch and lunch.
Long Beach, CA – Lola’s Mexican Cuisine
The restaurant, featuring inventive and contemporary Mexican cuisine by owner/chef Luis Navarro, is expected to open in October at 4140 Atlantic Ave., the site of Le Yen Chinese Restaurant whose owners are retiring after 45 years at that location.
McAllen, TX – Mariscos La Costa
Mariscos La Costa is set to open at Palms Crossing, 3300 W. Expressway 83, according to filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The $250,000 project is the restaurant’s second location. It opened in San Juan in November 2010 at its current location, 108 E. Texas 495. The restaurant offers a variety of Mexican-style seafood dishes.
Orlando, FL – Wahlburgers
Up and coming chain, Wahlburgers, will be stopping its train in Orlando shortly. This will be the first Florida store which was started by actor Mark Wahlberg and his brothers. It will be built at 200 South Orange Ave according to the chain’s spokesperson. No opening date was released.
New Orleans, LA – Bar Frances
French Quarter restaurant Tujague’s will have to share its owner’s time with this new restaurant. Mark Latter will be opening Bar Frances on Freret St. sometime in the spring of 2016. The restaurant will feature US, French, Italian and German wines. The bar will occupy 1850 square feet.
Auburn, NY – Hob Nob’s Grill
The Former Daut’s Restaurant will be getting a new life and name soon. Partners Brendan Grillo and Stan Kolonko have over 40 years experience in the hospitality industry. Physical features of the restaurant will include custom seating and tables, a hand-crafted bar with granite, floor-to-ceiling glass walls in the front of the restaurant, and custom stone and tile work throughout the restrooms and kitchen. Opening is slated for later this year.
