Rodizio Grill to Bring Columbus’ First Brazilian Steakhouse

The Arena District will not be the same as of June 15, 2012. Rodizio Grill is coming to this popular downtown hot spot, promising guests authentic Brazilian cuisine along with endless perfectly seasoned grilled meats carved tableside by Brazilian Gauchos.

“We are very excited to embark on this new venture,” stated David Knighton, Rodizio Grill’s Director of Development. “In recent years we’ve seen strong interest and growth in this fun and festive concept. We are certain the community of Columbus will love and embrace Rodizio Grill and the rich flavors of Brazil.”

Rodizio Grill is America’s First Brazilian Steakhouse, originating in Colorado in 1995. Founder Ivan Utrera brought this popular Brazilian concept, along with cherished family recipes, from his hometown of São Paulo, Brazil. Today, Rodizio Grill is a beloved and bustling restaurant that has won many prestigious Best of State awards in the Mountain West where it was prominently operated for the past 17 years. June also marks the month that Rodizio Grill served its first customers back in 1996.

“June marks a great milestone for our company,” stated Ivan Utrera, President and Founder of Rodizio Grill. “It commemorates the first guests to ever walk through the Rodizio Grill doors and we could not be more excited than to celebrate it with the opening of our eighth location in Columbus, Ohio.”

Rodizio Grill’s menu features three-foot meat skewers, perfectly seasoned and carved tableside by Brazilian Gauchos. Unlimited appetizers, over 30 gourmet salads and a wide variety of homemade desserts make for an unforgettable dining experience. Guests can indulge in Brazilian favorites like Pao de Queijo (Cheese Bread), Couve (Sautéed Collard Greens and Bacon), Picanha (Top Sirloin) and Lime Pie, just to name a few. Everything at Rodizio Grill is made fresh every day, adding to the authenticity of the establishment.

Rodizio Grill Columbus will be locally owned and operated by George Chaposky and Keith Dunn. Both owners have experienced managerial success in the restaurant industry and chose Rodizio Grill as their next business venture.

“We are truly excited to be part of the Rodizio Grill family and to bring Columbus, Ohio its first Brazilian Steakhouse,” stated Chaposky. “We are confident that the success Rodizio Grill has seen in the other markets it operates will be replicated in Columbus.”

Rodizio Grill will be located on 125 W. Nationwide Blvd. in the Arena District in Downtown Columbus. For reservations, guests can call 614.241.4400 or visit www.RodizioGrill.com for more information.
