Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q Brings Back Pink Cups for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Raises Funds for Young Survival Coalition

Rudy’s “Country Store” and Bar-B-Q is bringing back its pink cups this October for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month to raise awareness and funds for the Young Survival Coalition (YSC), an international nonprofit organization focusing on women ages 40 and under who are diagnosed with breast cancer. Rudy’s Bar-B-Q guests can purchase the pink cups, which are only available while supplies last, and make a dollar donation to YSC in exchange for a free drink redeemable on their return visit at participating locations.

Additionally, Rudy’s Bar-B-Q will add a dollar to the total funds it raises at its stores for every new verifiable Facebook Like (https://facebook.com/rudysbbq), Twitter follower (https://twitter.com/rudysbbq) and Instagram follower (https://instagram.com/rudysbbq) through its Follow2Support program, Rudy’s Bar-B-Q’s social media giving arm.

“This is the second consecutive year Rudy’s Cup for a Cause is raising awareness and funds for breast cancer and we are looking forward to repeating the success of last year’s efforts,” said Pete Bassett, VP of Operations at Rudy’s Bar-B-Q.  “With our partnership with YSC, we can make a difference in the lives of many young women who are suffering from breast cancer.”

This is the third Rudy’s Cup for a Cause campaign since launching in October 2012, which raised $83,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. In May, Rudy’s cups were transformed into camo colors and raised more than $84,000 for Homes for Our Troops, a national nonprofit organization committed to building specially adapted homes for severely injured veterans.

“We are grateful for Rudy’s Bar-B-Q’s commitment to helping educate, empower and support young women affected by breast cancer,” commented Jennifer Merschdorf, CEO of Young Survival Coalition. “The awareness and funds generated from this effort will bring us even closer to meeting our goal of reaching every young woman with breast cancer who needs us.”
