Newest restaurant to open in St. Petersburg, Florida on February 9
Ruth’s Chris Steak House is excited to announce the opening of its newest restaurant in St. Petersburg, Florida. Scheduled to open at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, February 9, also proclaimed as Ruth’s Chris Steak House Day in St. Petersburg, this marks the 144th restaurant for the legendary brand which also celebrates its 50th Anniversary in 2015.
Fifty years after opening its first restaurant in New Orleans, the company remains true to the values instilled by founder Ruth Fertel – superior quality food, the most hospitable service, and a genuine affection for everyone who truly enjoys the experience of dining with other people.
These values, along with delicious USDA Prime steaks, sourced from only the top 2% of the country’s beef and served on 500° sizzling plates (so they stay warm through the very last bite), served with scratch made salads, sides and desserts, are key ingredients in making Ruth’s Chris the largest upscale steakhouse company in the world.
Conveniently located at downtown’s SUNDIAL, at 131 Second Avenue North, Ruth’s Chris will offer the same top-notch service, food, handcrafted cocktails and award-winning wine list it offers globally while bringing to St. Pete innovative new menu selections, more outdoor patio dining, daily “Sizzle, Swizzle, Swirl $8 Happy Hour,” a series of five-course wine and cocktail pairing dinners, and a seasonal three-course menu starting at $43.95 per person. Ruth’s Chris welcomes groups and meetings with two state-of-the art private dining rooms and is equipped to take its exceptional service and delicious menu to local events with its offsite catering program. From the New York Strip and Fresh Lobster to the Blackberry Sidecar and Hand-Selected Wines, there’s something for every palate to savor.
“Bill Edwards has taken great efforts to bring SUNDIAL to fruition and we are honored to be associated with him and his team,” said Michael P. O’Donnell, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ruth’s Hospitality Group, Inc.
“A world class steak house was at the top of my must-have list for SUNDIAL,” said the center’s owner Bill Edwards. “Ruth’s Chris obviously fits that bill and I am thrilled they are bringing their signature sizzle to St. Pete.”
Prior to opening day, Ruth’s Chris will host private team training dinners benefiting Southeastern Guide Dogs that will feature live music from New Orleans-based jazz band, the Storyville Stompers. “We thank our guests in advance for supporting our wonderful charity partner,” said Mark Nourjian, General Manager of Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
