S.Pellegrino Announces Global Search for the "Young Chef 2015"S.Pellegrino Sparkling Natural Mineral Water announced today its call for nominations for the “S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2015” competition. Contestants will apply to compete first in their respective local markets, with the 20 local finalists heading to the global challenge to be held next June at Expo Milano 2015.

The “S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2015” program is designed to cultivate creative expression and innovation within the culinary industry, with the exciting addition of a partnership with Vogue Italia to bridge the worlds of food and fashion. Each of the 20 local finalists competing in Milan will be paired with a rising star in the fashion design industry. The couples will collaborate to create dishes and garment designs that both inspire and complement one another. Both food and fashion designs will be judged independently and also as a pair. The winning chef will be named S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2015, while the winning duo will be named Best Couple Chef-Designer 2015.

Chefs must be 30 years of age or younger, and hold the position of a sous chef, chef de cuisine, or chef de partie. ALMA, the world’s leading international educational and training center for Italian cuisine, will select up to 10 semi-finalists for each of the 20 regional competitions to take place in or about February 2015. Local finalist winners of the regional events will be determined by a jury of acclaimed chefs and food industry professionals and will continue on to Italy to participate in the global event at Expo Milano 2015.
