Next Generation Salad Bar set for June 2 grand opening with a portion of sales to be donated in memory of Chief Greenwood
Salata is celebrating the grand opening of its first Baytown area location on June 2, 2017 at 11 a.m.
The new restaurant is located at 6503 Garth Road. It will be the 54th Salata in Texas and among more than 60 nationwide.
The first 50 guests in line on grand opening day at Salata Baytown will receive a free small salad or wrap. Promotional prizes, including coupons, koozies, cups and pens, will be available to win during the day.
“We are very excited to introduce Salata to the Baytown area,” said Salata Franchisee Joe Piro, who owns the restaurant with his business partner, Chad George. “We’re dedicated to serving healthy, quality food to our guests and we’re looking forward to supporting the schools, charities and businesses throughout our local community.”
Salata will also donate a portion of the proceeds from the location’s grand opening day sales to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Foundation in memory of Baytown’s Assistant Chief Deputy Clint Greenwood. Salata Baytown will continue to support law enforcement after the opening by offering police officers $2 off any salad or wrap.
“We are grateful for businesses like Salata that strive to give back to our community,” said Baytown City Manager Rick Davis. “Chief Greenwood was a huge part of our team and we are thankful to have the opportunity to salute his service by raising funds for the foundation during Salata’s grand opening. The Sheriff’s Office is critical to making Baytown a safe place to live, work and play.”
The official ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Baytown Chamber of Commerce will begin at 10:30 a.m. The restaurant will open to the public at 11 a.m. Mayor Stephen DonCarlos, City Manager Rick Davis, Councilman Terry Sain and other local dignitaries will be in attendance and a DJ will be on-site to pump up the opening day crowd until 2 p.m.
Salata is known for its healthy, fresh and simple menu. The vegetables and fruits are chopped daily and the protein selection is fresh and lean. All the dressings, soups and sauces are house-made and gluten-free.
The new location will be open Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, please visit salata.com.
