Design Will Serve as Concept for All Future Salsarita’s
Charlotte-based Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina is opening their newest location in Indian Land, S.C. today. The Indian Land restaurant will be the first to feature Salsarita’s new prototype design that will serve as the concept for all future restaurants.
“We are thrilled to bring Salsarita’s to the Indian Land community,” said Yanira Castro, Salsarita’s director of marketing and Indian Land resident. “My family and I know firsthand how supportive Indian Land is to local businesses and we know our newest restaurant will be embraced as the community partner we envision it to be.”
Expansion, growth and renovation have been the focus for Salsarita’s CEO Phil Friedman since he purchased the fast-casual Mexican chain in 2011.
“Expanding our footprint into the growing Indian Land market is the perfect next step for Salsarita’s,” said Friedman. “We are excited not only for this location but for all of our locations that will feature this new design. Indian Land will be the eighth company-owned location for Salsarita’s and supports our expansion efforts within a three-hour radius of our corporate headquarters in Charlotte,” Friedman added.
The prototype was developed through contributions of Charlotte designers who were focused on creating a space that offered speed, efficiency and optimal guest service. The new 80-seat restaurant in Indian Land will feature a unique curved service line, which will allow Salsarita’s employees to better serve their guests quickly. It will also feature an isolated order queue to improve the dining room experience. A new color scheme, branded graphics package and digital menu boards will help round out the fresh new look.
Founded in Charlotte, N.C. in 2000, Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina offers Mexican favorites such as five flavorful house-made salsas, custom burritos, tacos, nachos and salads made fresh to order with an extensive selection of proteins, toppings and fillings. Salsarita’s was acquired by franchise industry veteran Phil Friedman in 2011 and operates more than 70 locations in 17 states, including seven that are company-owned.
