Say Howdy to the New Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Florence

There’s a new Dickey’s Barbecue Pit opening in Florence and local owner Randy Goings can’t wait to bring a new flavor to Florence. On Thursday, September 12 at 11 a.m. the new Dickey’s in Florence will open its doors and the first 50 dine-in customers who purchase an item on that day will receive a Dickey’s gift card fully loaded with up to $50.

On Friday, customers will enjoy a day of giveaways. The party continues on Saturday with $2 Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwiches from noon to 2 p.m. and a guest appearance by radio station Eagle 92.9. There will also be a drawing for a $500 gift card good at Dickey’s Barbecue Pit.

“My business partner and I loved the food and atmosphere at Dickey’s and decided we wanted to open one of our own,” said local owner Dr. Randy Goings, who owns this location along with Dr. Vernishia Robinson. “It’s a great concept that brings friends, families and communities together.”

Dr. Goings is currently a practicing chiropractic physician with offices in Columbia and Orangeburg. Florence locals, Timothy and Shawnda McNeil, will be the General Managers of this location.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Florence is located at 2003 West Lucas and the store phone number is 843-407-6129. This is the fifth Dickey’s Barbecue Pit to open in South Carolina. Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Myrtle Beach opened last month.

“I would like to thank all of our family, friends, and the community of Florence for their love and support,” said Goings. “This has been an exciting process and we can’t wait to open!”

Dickey’s Barbecue was founded by Travis Dickey with the goal of authentic slow smoked barbecue. More than 72 years later, the Dallas-based family run barbecue franchise still offers a quality selection of signature meats, home style sides, tangy barbecue sauce and free kids meals every Sunday. All meats are slow smoked on site in each restaurant. The fast-casual family-friendly concept has expanded to over 300 locations in 40 states and holds the title of the world’s largest barbecue franchise. This year both Technomic and Nation’s Restaurant News named Dickey’s “Fastest-growing restaurant in the country” and they were also named “Best Franchise Deal” by QSR Magazine.
