The QSR Pizza Franchise will donate for each slice of pizza sold and encourages guests to donate
Sbarro, the iconic quick service restaurant best known for its XL New York style pizza by the slice, launches its Slices for Hope campaign on Sunday to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
On May 8 and June 19, 2016, Sbarro has committed to donate $.50 for every slice sold at company-owned eateries. Additionally, Sbarro will encourage guests to show their support and add on their own donations for the research hospital between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
“We are starting and ending this campaign on two of the most family-oriented days of the year—Mother’s Day and Father’s Day—remembering the struggle so many families go through with sick children,” said J. David Karam, CEO of Sbarro. “We hope that our guests will see this as an opportunity to show their support by purchasing slices and making their own donations for this incredible organization.”
Since it first opened its doors as an Italian Salumeria in 1956, Sbarro has brought New York style pizza and other Italian favorites like pasta and stromboli to guests at more than 800 eateries across 33 countries. An award-winning franchise organization, the brand is best known for selling their original XL New York style pizza by the slice featuring dough that is made in-house daily, freshly chopped vegetables and 100% whole milk mozzarella cheese. Sbarro is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. For more information or to find the nearest location, visit www.sbarro.com.
