Initiative is Amplified on July 17th and July 31st, 2023, as 10% of All Food Sales Will Benefit Neighborhood Schools
The fireworks are over yet philanthropic efforts in local Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar neighborhoods under the eyes of Texas-based SSCP, just got started and will continue to benefit community schools all month long and beyond.
SSCP, which gratefully owns and operates 80 Applebee’s stretching coast to coast, from Northern California (13) to Virginia (12) with its largest presence in The Lone Star State of Texas (55) where it is headquartered, has started a month-long campaign named STUFF the BUS. The neighborhood-centric effort will assist students as they head back to school this year with necessary school supplies.
The initiative, now an annual event, has resulted in thousands of dollars in assistance and the brand has doubled down on its apex with 2 Dining to Donate events, one on July 17th and an encore on July 31st, where Applebee’s will donate 10% of all food sales from the entire days to its neighborhood’s educational institutions.
“Going back to school is exciting. It’s also expensive,” said Blake Roe, senior director of marketing for SSCP. “We are encouraging our valued team members, neighbors and guests to help us in making a difference in our neighborhoods with small donations that collectively make a big difference.”
Continued Roe: “These students are our future and we want to make it a bright one. We heard that teachers were spending money out of their own pockets to keep the educational journey on its proper track. We said, ‘not in our neighborhoods.’ Being a steward in our neighborhoods is a privilege, not a burden and we take the responsibility seriously. And when our teams and guests understand that, it makes what we do even more gratifying.”
SSCP’s Applebee’s Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive concludes on July 31, 2023.
