Orange County-based Sessions releases its first feature film in conjunction with milestone anniversary

Sessions West Coast Deli Celebrates a Decade of Radical Eats with 10-Year Anniversary Specials & Surf Film DebutKnown for its inspired, chef-crafted sandwiches at six locations throughout Orange County, Sessions West Coast Deli celebrates its 10-year anniversary with a week of specials that culminates with the premiere of the brand’s own feature film, Baja Sessions. The Anniversary promotion begins Monday, June 24 with one of Sessions’ best-selling sandwiches offered for $10 each day through Friday, June 28. The week of specials is followed by the worldwide premiere of Baja Sessions surf film at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 29 at Ancillary Studios in Costa Mesa, followed by an afterparty at Sessions’ South Coast Plaza location.

A DECADE OF RADICAL EATS

Since opening its first location in a modest space on Newport Beach’s iconic peninsula in 2014, Sessions West Coast Deli has redefined the idea of a neighborhood sandwich shop. Its chef-driven menu, which is rooted in a premium, palette of ingredients, quickly received national attention and its globally inspired sandwiches went on to earn accolades. Sessions’ award-winning sandwiches riff on and elevate what one might expect to find at a gourmet deli, with vibrant, seasonal ingredients, and complex flavors that are more commonly found in high-brow food culture.

From Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28, Sessions will offer one of its most popular sandwiches each day, along with its noted Shaka Spuds, for only $10, in honor of its 10-year milestone.

“With six Orange County locations, the heart of the Sessions concept still revolves around our carefully curated selection of sandwiches,” explains Matt Meddock, Partner of Sessions West Coast Deli, along with Beckham Thomas and Executive Chef Max Schlutz. “Each of our anniversary sandwich features has a valued place in our story, and represents our dedication to maintaining a balance between the quality of fine dining and the comfort of a home-cooked meal.”

BAJA SESSIONS

Earlier this year, Sessions West Coast Deli partnered with Costa Coffee to follow the Sessions Surf Team, ten Orange County-based professional surfers, as they journeyed to ride the waves in Baja, Mexico. It was the shared experience of these ten Sessions Ambassadors that formed Baja Sessions, a film made for Fuel TV. The public is invited to attend the worldwide premiere of Baja Sessions at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 29 at Ancillary Studios in Costa Mesa. Following the film’s debut, the surfers-turned-movie stars will be celebrated at an afterparty on the newly remodeled patio at nearby Sessions South Coast Plaza. While there is no cost to attend the film screening, seats are limited and guests must reserve theirs at SessionsWCD.com/baja-sessions-premiere.

“Surfing is what raised many of us, it’s who we are, it’s what we do. Surfing fed our souls and now we are literally feeding a dozen young pro surfers who are involved in Sessions’ Ambassador Program,” adds Meddock, who grew up surfing in Orange County. “When we started the Sessions brand we wanted to be more than just a restaurant, we wanted to build something special – and we’re celebrating a decade of doing just that.”

While there is no cost to attend the screening of Baja Sessions on Saturday, June 29, seats are limited and guests must reserve theirs at SessionsWCD.com/baja-sessions-premiere.
