Sizzler Celebrates Veterans Day with Free Lunch on Nov. 11

In appreciation for their selfless service, Sizzler is offering active duty and retired members of the military a free lunch on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, 2013.

Until 4 p.m., guests with proof of military service will select a six-ounce six-ounce Tri Tip Steak, single Malibu Chicken or a half dozen Fried Shrimp entrée with a choice of side dish. Proof of service includes a U.S. military-issue or veterans group identification card, appearance in uniform or a photo of the person in uniform.

“It’s important for Sizzler to say ‘thank you’ to members of the armed forces, whether they are protecting our country now or have served in the past,” said Kerry Kramp, president and CEO.

Sizzler also supports a national Heinz Ketchup promotion to raise money and awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that honors and empowers wounded soldiers.

Guests can scan a quick response (QR) code on the back of specially marked Heinz Ketchup bottles, allowing them write their own “thank you” message to an active duty military service member. Heinz will donate $1 to Wounded Warrior Project for each “thank you” sent and 57 cents for each message shared via social media, up to $250,000. Sizzler’s free lunch entrée offer is valid for dine-in before 4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013. The offer does not include the Salad Bar, beverage or gratuity.
