Smashburger, America’s fastest growing “better burger” restaurant, is set to open its newest Tucson location on Wednesday, September 4 at 3837 East Broadway Boulevard in the San Clemente Shopping Center. Smashburger brings its delicious burgers that are smashed fresh, served delicious, along with its tempting sides and regional menu items crafted to please local’s palates. This is the second of four Tucson Smashburgers slated to open by the end of 2014.
Each Tucson Smashburger will feature a regional menu created with regional flavors and tastes in mind. The Tucson menu includes the signature Arizona Smashburger, which is a 100-percent Certified Angus Beef burger, topped with habanero cheese, guacamole, lettuce, tomato, onion, chipotle mayo and fresh jalapenos on a chipotle bun. Tucsonians can also enjoy the the Arizona Cobb Salad featuring a mix of fresh greens, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, onions, guacamole and fresh jalapenos topped with spicy chipotle dressing.
“In every Smashburger market, we explore the tastes and flavors of the region and bring it to our menu in an innovative way,” said Tom Ryan, Founder and Chief Concept Officer of Smashburger. “Tucson residents will enjoy the unique burger, chicken sandwich and salad we’ve created just for the Arizona menu.”
At Smashburger, the secret is in the smash. It starts with 100-percent—fresh, never frozen, Certified Angus Beef and is smashed on a 400 degree flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor. To further the “better burger” experience, the delicious burgers are served on a toasted artisan bun and topped with a selection of the freshest produce, real cheeses, and highest-quality condiments.
Smashburger’s signature recipes and create your own burgers are smashed fresh, served delicious every time. But Smashburger is more than just burgers. Customers can also enjoy a selection of tender marinated grilled or crispy chicken sandwiches, and fresh tossed signature salads, along with a variety of irresistible sides including rosemary and garlic–seasoned Smashfries, Haystack Onions, and Veggie Frites (flash-fried and seasoned carrot sticks and green beans). The restaurant will also serve a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including local beers, wine, hand-spun Häagen-Dazs shakes and IBC root-beer floats in frosted mugs.
“The response to our first Tucson location has been tremendous,” says operator Eric Wolf. “We are excited to introduce our ‘better burgers’ to more Tucson residents with the addition of our new location.”
