From celebrating decades of family traditions to supporting local communities, Soulman’s Bar-B-Que has solidified its legacy as a cornerstone of authentic Texas barbecue, showcased through efforts across the organization and communities it serves.

A Year of Celebration, Expansion and Innovation

Since opening its doors in 1974, the family-owned business has become a beloved barbecue destination known for its rich flavors and community spirit. The golden anniversary celebrates a half-century of tradition, loyalty, and the delicious recipes that have made the bar-b-que institution a local favorite. In 2024, Soulman’s thanked loyal customers and brought them in-store to celebrate five decades of barbecue excellence with monthly special offers in the form of Time Machine Tuesdays and special events including the Royse City Holiday parade through Main Street.  December 14th was declared Don Hallett & Soulman’s Bar-B-Que Day in Royse City to honor the founder on the occasion of Soulman’s 50th Anniversary.

This year, Soulman’s Bar-B-Que opened two new locations in Hurst and Mabank, Texas, bringing its mouthwatering menu of hickory-smoked barbecue to even more fans. These expansions are a testament to the growing demand for Soulman’s signature flavors and its commitment to providing a warm, welcoming dining experience.Soulman’s also launched several new menu items and specials, including the wildly popular Cluckwagon family meal, as a limited-time offer, showcasing their knack for innovation while staying true to their roots. Additionally, Soulman’s saw record-breaking catering and holiday meal sales at all 20 North Texas locations.

Soulman’s Bar-B-Que continued to gain recognition for its outstanding food, earning accolades such as AOL’s Best Roadside Restaurants in America reflecting not only the exceptional quality of the food but also the dedication of the entire Soulman’s team to delivering excellence to travelers across North Texas.

Giving Back to the Community

Community service remained at the heart of the Soulman’s Bar-B-Que mission in 2024. The company partnered with local organizations to host fundraising events, food drives, and support programs for first responders and veterans. Their Ninth Annual Thanksgiavaway initiative provided twenty free meals to families in need, helping those in North Texas communities have a hearty meal during the holiday season.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As the new year approaches, Soulman’s Bar-B-Que is gearing up for more exciting developments, including new locations beginning with the 21st location in North Richland Hills, expanded catering services, and even more ways to bring the joy of barbecue to Texas communities.
