Spaghetti Warehouse Unveils Special 40th Anniversary Celebration Menu

Menu Features Diverse Selection of New Items, Popular Favorites

Citing its desire to provide its guests with a host of fresh new tastes – alongside a selection of its most popular favorites – Spaghetti Warehouse Restaurants Inc. recently unveiled its new 40thAnniversary Celebration menu.

“Our 40th Anniversary Celebration menu features an innovative mix of fresh, new tastes together with our most popular favorites.  And, along the way, we created new entrees and appetizers featuring the latest trends for flavor; selections that reflect the preferences of consumers and our guests,” explained Azam Malik, president and chief operating officer, Spaghetti Warehouse Restaurants Inc.

The development of the five new entrees and two appetizers – together with the wine pairings – were led by Larry Bellah, Spaghetti Warehouse Restaurants’ new Corporate Executive Chef.

According to Malik, the new menu was introduced to guests in early June as part of a series of special “blast-off” parties, which were conducted at all 16 of the company’s restaurants to coincide with the launch of its 40th anniversary celebration.

Five new entrees form the centerpiece of the new menu, including:

Spaghetti Pesto Basilica – features a rich basil pesto sauce and tossed with pasta, grilled zucchini, fresh grape tomatoes and topped with Pecorino Romano cheese.  The entrée is also available with grilled chicken.

Grilled Chicken Linguini – offers a “light but-oh-so-full of flavor” tender linguini and a toss-up of fresh broccoli, baby spinach and mushrooms, served in a delicate garlic butter sauce, topped with a grilled chicken breast.

Kung Pao Chicken Spaghetti – provides a “Taste of Asia” – warehouse-style and features traditional Kung Pao sauce tossed with diced fire-grilled chicken, red and green bell peppers, roasted peanuts and spaghetti.

Grilled Sirloin Milano – is a flavorful, grilled-to-order, eight ounce center-cut sirloin served with a rich Chianti Peppercorn Sauce and is accompanied with creamy garlic mushroom risotto.

Fire-Grilled Salmon with Basil Cream – is another one of the “Specialties of the Warehouse” and features fettuccini tossed with fresh grape tomatoes and grilled zucchini in a flavorful basil cream sauce and topped with a fire-grilled salmon filet and fresh basil pesto.

In addition, there are two new appetizers – including Tuscan Caprese and a variety of Bruscette offerings.  Featuring vine-ripened Roma tomatoes, the Tuscan Caprese offers a unique taste, consisting of basil and fresh mozzarella cheese and is topped with olive oil and a tangy balsamic glaze.

The Bruschette offerings capture the taste of Italy with crispy crostini brushed with olive oil, topped with the freshest ingredients and finished with a tangy balsamic glaze. There are three flavors to choose from, including: Classic, Caprese and Sausage and Mozzarella.  Or, guests can enjoy all of the new selections as part of a Bruschetta Trio.

And, for those who enjoy lighter fare – a new Grilled Chicken Harvest Salad also has been added. The grilled chicken sits atop a harvest mix of green apples, sweet dried cranberries, walnuts, red onions and grape tomatoes.  Mixed with crisp greens, the salad is served with tangy, balsamic vinaigrette.

Finally, thanks to a partnership between Wente Vineyards and the Food Network, Spaghetti Warehouse is offering two varietal wines – Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon – under the brand name ‘entwine’.

Malik said bringing the new menu to reality is an important part of the 40th anniversary celebration and Bellah’s experience in “menu leadership” played a key role in the process. For Bellah’s part, he says he sees “…lots of blue sky” in a way that promises to be enticing to the restaurant’s loyal guests while, at the same time, attracting the attention of new guests with fresh new flavors.
