Squeeze In, consistently voted best breakfast both in northern California and Nevada, is set to open its fourth location next week in Sparks, Nevada. Doors will open to the public at 7am on Friday, August 17, for a soft opening, with all proceeds to benefit charity. The grand opening is Saturday August 18th 2012 at 7am. Friday’s profits will be donated to four animal service and rescue organizations in Reno and Truckee: the Humane Society of Truckee Tahoe, the Nevada Humane Society, Chihuahua Rescue Truckee Meadows, and Wylie Animal Rescue Fund.
“We like to have our first day in business be about giving back. It helps us work out our kinks, and show the community that we are committed to making a positive impact,” said Shila Morris, Squeeze Co-Owner and Vice President. “We chose animal-related causes because we all feel the value that pets add to our family dynamic and we love to do something that raises capital for and awareness about animals in need. They deserve good homes, and everyone deserves a good companion or two.”
The new 2,000-square-foot restaurant, located at 4670 Sparks Blvd., at the corner of Sparks Blvd. and Disc Drive, is expected to seat under 100 guests indoors with outdoor patio dining in warmer weather. As it is at every Squeeze In location, well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome on the sidewalk dining area, where they will be treated to water and admiration while their owners eat the “Best Omelettes on the Planet.”
“Our family is eager to serve yours,” Morris said. “We are passionate about this restaurant and are committed to continue to deliver great food, in a fun atmosphere, by genuinely happy people while supporting the local community and giving back.”
Squeeze In is owned by Misty and Gary Young, and daughter and son-in-law Shila and Chad Morris. Squeeze In was featured on the Food Network’s Throwdown with Bobby Flay in 2010 and is consistently voted Best Breakfast in Truckee and Reno. Established in 1974, Squeeze In restaurants serve breakfast and lunch daily, from 7am to 2pm, touting the “Best Omelettes on the Planet”®. With 107 quadrillion omelette possibilities, a healthy options menu, dozens of sandwiches, salads, burgers and burritos, as well as “killer” Bloody Marys and strong mimosas, the Squeeze In menu offers something for everyone. Squeeze In will now have four locations: the original in Historic Downtown Truckee, California, in northwest Reno at 5020 Las Brisas Blvd., south Reno at 25 Foothill Road, and now in Sparks at 4670 Disc Drive.
