FATZ transformation includes debut of casual sports sister restaurants.
With over 48 restaurants throughout the Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia, FATZ, a Cafe Enterprises, Inc. restaurant chain, enlisted the leadership and creative services of Streetsense to reinvent their 24-year-old brand and design.
The new FATZ aesthetic exudes modern Southern hospitality and charm with design elements including corrugated metal storefront accents, large black and white photographed compositions, a more open and dramatic bar area, and lastly a brighter, more colorful exterior that catches the eye. Both Asheville, NC and Orangeburg, SC’s FATZ locations are the first to unveil the new look described as a “rich, warm environment with urban industrial overtones,” says Gabriela Philippon, Streetsense’s Project Architect.
In addition to the FATZ brand revitalization, Streetsense was also commissioned on a tight, 6-week deadline to develop Tavern 24, Cafe Enterprises, Inc.’s brand new laid-back tavern environment which invites guests of Tavern 24 to enjoy classic, American cuisine set in a contemporary, casual atmosphere. Tavern 24 boasts a family-friendly experience featuring open and attractive elements such as an entry fire pit seating area, expansive bar with room for 74, outdoor patio and bar, not to mention 24 beers on tap showcased for all to enjoy.
“Streetsense’s successful national portfolio and ability to connect with our brand and direction of growth allowed us to entrust them with creating Tavern 24’s contemporary casual atmosphere,” says Eric Holman, Vice President of Concept Development at Cafe Enterprises, Inc.
Streetsense unveiled the first Tavern 24 at a converted FATZ location on Woodruff Road in Greenville, SC, in late June 2012. Soon to follow will be the first freestanding Tavern 24 set to debut in the Carolinas in late fall 2012. As FATZ locations embrace their new look, Cafe Enterprises, Inc. will continue its expansion with additional Tavern 24 outposts and also looks to develop a new “flex-casual” concept, Tablefields, in Upstate South Carolina.
