The fast growing breakfast-lunch chain Sunny Street Café announced ground-breaking plans for its newest restaurant on South Main Street in Weatherford, Texas. Franchisee Cliff Bowling, with sons Daniel and Patrick, will open their first Sunny Street Café in December 2012.
“I’m looking forward to bringing a great breakfast and lunch experience to our friends and neighbors in the community,” said Cliff Bowling. “The ability to focus on delivering great food and exceptional service is what drove me to Sunny Street Café.”
Cliff is a restaurant veteran, with over 25 years in the QSR segment. He and his family are long time residents of Weatherford.
Under the guidance of industry veteran and Area Representative Robert Andersen, the Weatherford location is the first of a planned 40 store expansion in the Texas market. Andersen’s company, Café Management Systems, has exclusive right to Sunny Street Café in Texas and will be responsible for all day-to-day operations and marketing support for existing and new restaurants in Texas.
“Cliff, Daniel and Patrick are great additions to the Sunny Street Café team in Texas,” Mr. Andersen said. “In addition to their extensive restaurant operations expertise, each has strong ties to the surrounding neighborhoods. This community-centric outreach is one of the hallmarks of our brand.”
Andersen will also recruit qualified multi-unit developers and single-unit franchisees to open restaurants in Houston, San Antonio and Austin as well as Dallas/Ft. Worth. Additional locations are targeted throughout Dallas/Ft. Worth in Tarrant, Collin, Denton and Dallas counties.
Sunny Street Café targets locations in suburban retail strip centers, anchored by grocery stores in new developments. New restaurants are approximately 3,500 square feet to accommodate heavy weekend crowds. Currently, there are four Texas locations in Murphy, The Woodlands, Haltom City and North Richland Hills.
Sunny Street Café operates 14 franchised restaurants in Ohio, Texas and Missouri. Ohio and Texas restaurants are open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Missouri restaurants are open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Restaurants feature a wide variety of breakfast and lunch fare, including “big as the plate” Buttermilk Pancakes, “create your own” Omelettes, Stuffed Biscuits and Gravy, Black Angus Burgers, Monterey Ranch Chicken Wrap, Buffalo Chicken Salad and a quiche of the day. Restaurants also offer takeout, catering and special event hosting. Franchise opportunities are currently available for both first-time owners and existing franchise owner/operators and developers.
