Featuring Speciality Pancakes All Week Long
Sunny Street Café is celebrating National Pancake Week February 20th-26th. Each day the restaurants will feature a new speciality pancake, created by the Sunny Street kitchen or by a member of the community.
“National Pancake Week is a special celebration in honor of our favorite breakfast dish. It’s a great opportunity to get creative, and the community really enjoys it,” says Mike Stasko, VP of Brand Strategy. “We invited food bloggers, kitchen staff, and other members of the community to invent a delicious pancake and we feature it for a day.”
Pancake features include Super Berry Cakes, Banana Nut Brulee, Cinnamon Roll Pancakes, and the guest favorite Pumpkin Spice Pancakes.
This year Sunny Street Cafe also held a contest for guests to create and submit a pancake for the menu. The winning recipe was chosen last month and will be featured across all restaurants on February 24th. The pancake creation that won is called “Stephanie’s Pancake,” featuring spiced walnuts, chocolate chips, brown sugar and candied bacon bits.
In addition Ohio, Missouri, Texas, and Canada will each feature a pancake created by a popular food blogger on Thursday February 23rd. “We excited to have such incredible community participation this year for Pancake Week,” Stasko said. “It’s a great way to have some fun and stay involved with our communities.”
Ohio will feature a pancake by Katy and Reanna of the popular Instagram food blog @columbus_foodie (https://www.instagram.com/columbus_foodie/). Their pancake is the “Best of Both Worlds.”
Texas will feature a Tiramisu pancake by food blogger Brandon (http://brandondoesdallas.com/).
Edmonton, Canada will enjoy Candied Walnut Maple Peanut Butter Pancakes by Byron from Simply Light Photography (https://www.instagram.com/tabemononado/).
St Louis, MO will offer the Matcha Chocolate Pancakes by Lynette (https://www.instagram.com/lynniethefoodie/).
